I had prepared eggless whole wheat cumin cookies and whole wheat marble cake earlier.
So it was time to try out cookies with whole wheat flour.
These whole wheat cookies have butter in them and no eggs. They are very easy to make and taste delicious.
I love homemade cookies and like to bake cookies without eggs. These cookies here are baked with whole wheat flour. Whole wheat flour is much healthier than refined / all-purpose flour.
These whole wheat cookies make for an enjoyable evening snack with a hot cup of tea / coffee.

Eggless Whole Wheat Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 cup whole wheat flour ( atta )
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp milk
- 4-5 almonds
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180 deg C.
- Sliver almonds and keep aside.
- Mix flour, salt and sugar in a bowl.
- Add the softened butter and mix.
- Add the milk little by little and mix well till you are able to form a soft dough.
- Pinch a small ball of dough and lightly flatten it using your palms.
- Repeat with the remaining portion of dough.
- Garnish each cookie with the slivered almonds, by pressing them on each flattened dough.
- Place the cookies, an inch apart, on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 180 deg C for around 18-20 minutes or until the cookies are light golden brown in color.
- Cool the cookies for 5 minutes and then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Whole wheat eggless cookies are now ready to be eaten or stored in an airtight container.
