Wheat Dosa (Godhumai Dosa)

If you want a variation from the usual dosa that you make, you can try this healthy wheat dosa recipe. This is an instant recipe that you could prepare in a jiffy for breakfast/dinner. There is no soaking or waiting involved in this. Just mix all the ingredients and prepare the dosas. Have it with chutney or sambar

Wheat Dosa ( Godhumai Dosa ) Recipe

Easy whole wheat flour crepes.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour ( atta / godhumai flour )
  • 1 onion
  • 2 tbsp rice flour
  • 1 or 2 green chillies
  • A pinch of asafoetida
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • A few curry leaves
  • A few coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Chop the onion and green chillies finely.
  2. Chop the curry leaves and coriander leaves.
  3. In a bowl, mix the wheat flour, rice flour, chopped onions, green chillies, curry leaves, coriander leaves, grated ginger, asafoetida and salt.
  4. Add water to this mixture and make a thin batter.
  5. Heat the griddle/tava. Pour the batter on the griddle and drizzle oil on all the sides.
  6. Once the dosa turns golden brown, flip it over and again cook for some time.
  7. Serve wheat dosa hot with chutney or sambar.
