Masala pori / spicy puffed rice recipe – a quick and easy South Indian snack using puffed rice. This masala pori has crispy puffed rice flavored with spices. Peanuts added to it give a nice crunch while garlic gives a nice flavor to the pori. It is one of those quick snacks that you can prepare that is healthy too.
I love to munch on plain puffed rice and find it so addictive and sometimes end up making pori upma for a quick tiffin. This masala pori is equally addictive and is a breeze to make.
It is a nice snack to have with a hot cup of tea in the evening occasionally or just as a snack to munch on when you are feeling hungry.
This kara pori or murmura requires just a few ingredients and can be prepared in just a few minutes. Kids too will love this pori for their evening snack. Just reduce the chillies or skip them altogether.
