One of the common ways to eat cheese would be to have it with bread. Instead of this, you could have this cheese paratha which is whole wheat flat bread with cheese stuffed in it. It is very simple to make. You don’t require any side-dish for this paratha and it tastes yummy. Have it as a breakfast dish.

A delicious whole wheat flat bread stuffed with cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup wheat flour ( atta )
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese
  • 1 or 2 green chillies
  • Salt to taste
  • oil for frying parathas

Instructions

  1. Grate the cheese. You could use any variety of cheese for this like cheddar or mozzarella.
  2. Chop the green chillies very finely. Use one or two green chillies depending on your taste. If giving to kids, avoid green chillies and instead add some chopped coriander leaves.
  3. Mix these chillies with the grated cheese in a bowl and keep it aside.
  4. Add salt to the wheat flour. Knead the flour by adding enough water and make a smooth dough.
  5. Heat the frying pan or tava.
  6. Make a medium-sized ball of the dough. Then roll it to flatten it into a chapati.
  7. Now place a small quantity of the cheese stuffing in the middle of the chapati. Join the sides of the circle on all sides to cover the stuffing and flatten it. Now roll it into a circular disc-shape, by dusting it with flour.
  8. Fry the paratha in little oil till done. Repeat the same procedure with the rest of the dough. Serve cheese paratha hot.
