Stuffed Paneer Bread Rolls | Baked Bread Rolls

Stuffed paneer bread rolls recipe is baked bread rolls stuffed with a cottage cheese filling. Its a healthy version of bread rolls as all the oil required for deep-frying the rolls is cut-off of and the rolls are oven baked.

baked bread rolls with paneer masala stuffing.

Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bread
  • 1 cup paneer ( cottage cheese ( grated or crumbled ) )
  • 1 onion, small
  • 1/2 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 green capsicum, small
  • 1 carrot, medium-sized
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder ( jeera powder )
  • 1/4 tsp garam masala powder
  • 2 tsp oil
  • 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  • Butter
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Chop onion finely. Chop capsicum into small cubes. Grate carrot.
  2. Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onions. Saute till onions turn light brown.
  3. Now add ginger paste and fry for a minute. Then add capsicum along with salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and cumin powder.
  4. Fry for 2 minutes and then add crumbled paneer. Mix well and stir for a minute.
  5. Finally sprinkle garam masala powder and mix. Remove from heat. Add grated carrot and chopped coriander leaves and stir well.
  6. Preheat oven to 200 deg C.
  7. Remove the bread crusts from all the slices. Using a rolling pin, roll out each slice.
  8. Place a generous amount of the prepared paneer stuffing at one of the rolled out bread slice. Gently roll the slice from that end and seal the edges by applying some water. Repeat this for all the slices.
  9. Brush butter on all sides of the rolls and place on a baking tray.
  10. Bake in oven for 25-30 minutes or till they turn crispy and brown.
  11. Paneer stuffed bread rolls are ready to be served hot!
