Recycled Soda Can Pencil Holder

by Jiya Jesh · Updated on July 15, 2022 DIY| Easy craft| Recycle

I saw the empty coke soda can and decided to go green by recycling it into a simple craft project. This is a sweet pen / pencil holder that takes just a few minutes to make and would look good on your desk. This could be a kids project also with a little help from adults especially for cutting the top of the soda can. The decoration can be done by kids.

For another similarly easy craft do check out popsicle stick photo frame.

First you would need to empty the contents of the soda can and wash it from inside so that there is no trace of the soda. Then cut off the top of the can using a can opener or utility knife. Be very careful while doing this.

Once this is done, lay the soda can on a scrapbook paper of your choice and measure the dimensions of the paper that will cover the can, keeping the length a little longer so that the paper will overlap when covering the can. Cut the paper and glue it to the can.

Cut out 2 pieces of lace and glue them to the top and bottom portions of the can.

I added a ribbon to the middle of the can along with some embelishments.

The pencil holder is now ready to be filled with pens or pencils.
