How to remove extra salt from food?

salt, cooking tip, kitchen tip, remove excess salt from food, remove extra salt

There are times when you get distracted from your cooking to attend a phone call or a visitor at your door. You completely forget whether you have added salt in your food and again add some more salt making the dish too salty 🙁 So what is the solution for this?

One of the methods is, you need to peel a raw potato, cut it into halves and add it to your curry and cook for a little while. Remove the potato later and serve the dish.

Another method is to add more of the base ingredient of your recipe or add lemon juice / sugar / tomato to the dish.
