Palak Chawal | Palak Rice | Spinach Rice

by Jiya Jesh · Updated on July 15, 2022 Rice dishes

I saw the bunch of spinach leaves sitting in the refrigerator and wondered what dish to make. The most common preparation with palak is the dal palak and palak paneer which are subzis.

Not in a mood to prepare these dishes, I decided to prepare this palak chawal. This is a tasty and nutritious dish as spinach is a rich source of iron and calcium.

This dish has spices incorporated in it which gives it a nice flavor. This is a quick and easy one pot meal that tastes delicious when served hot with any raita or curd. I have added potatoes to this dish, you could instead add vegetables of your choice like carrots and peas to make it even more healthier.
