Chow chow thogayal is a South Indian chayote chutney recipe. I love adding some vegetables to chutneys or thogayals as they seem to be a good way to sneak in some not-so favorite veggies into a dish.
Thogayal is a thicker version of chutney and generally served as an accompaniment to rice, idlis or dosas.
While chow chow kootu is generally prepared with chayote, do try out this simple chow chow thogayal recipe.
