Baby Bitter Gourd Fry | Midhi Pavakkai Poriyal Recipe

by Jiya Jesh · Updated on July 15, 2022 Sabzi (Veg - Dry curries)| South Indian Recipes

Baby Bitter Gourd Fry or Midhi pavakkai poriyal recipe is a dry curry prepared with baby bitter gourd. I dont try to remove the bitter taste of bitter gourd because they lend a different taste which you can’t get from other vegetables.

Bitter gourds have a bitter taste but have a lot of nutritional benefits. They are great source of dietary fiber.

They are low in calories and can be used for weight loss. Also, bitter gourd is very good for diabetes.

Another bitter gourd recipe that I love to make is bitter gourd chips.

Somehow I feel that baby bitter gourds are tastier compared to the regular sized bitter gourds. So when I saw these small bitter gourds, I readily took them and made my favorite bitter gourd fry recipe.

Here are the baby bitter gourds.
