Seeing the empty cereal boxes in the pantry, I decided to go green and make use of these in a diy project. The project is nothing but a magazine holder. It is a simple organization storage solution for the magazines or books that keep lying around the house.
You could also involve your kid for this project. They could use it to store any small books or papers in this holder.

All you need for this project is an empty cereal box, wrapping paper, scissors and glue.
First, you need to cut off the top flaps of the cereal box. Then, draw a diagonal from the top of the box to a few inches from the bottom of the box, depending on how much you want to see the magazine collection from the side. Repeat this on the other side of the box.
Take a wrapping paper or any decorative paper that you have and place it on the cereal box to measure the paper needed to cover the whole box, except the bottom of the box, which is not needed.
Cut the paper to the size needed. Now cover the box with glue and paste the wrapping paper on the box.
Now you are ready to store your magazines or any papers that you have in the box.

I have done also cut the front panel out and made a “file tray” for sorting mail for roommates; everyone has their own “wrap”
