Pomegranate raita or Anar raita – a simple and easy raita recipe using pomegranate. It goes well with hot and spicy dishes.

It could be served as an accompaniment for rice, parathas or rotis. A perfect refreshing raita for a hot summer day.

The sweet pomegranate seeds go so well with curd and this raita looks so colorful. It is healthy too as pomegranates are a good source of vitamin C and dietary fiber.

Pomegranate Raita – Anar Raita Recipe

A refreshing yogurt dip using pomegranates.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups yogurt / curd / dahi
  • 1/2 cup pomegranate seeds
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp pepper powder
  • A few coriander leaves
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, beat the yogurt till smooth.
  2. Chop coriander leaves.
  3. Add salt, sugar and pepper powder to the curd and mix well.
  4. Now add the pomegranate seeds and chopped coriander leaves.
  5. Mix well and serve pomegranate raita as a side dish for biryani or pulao.
  6. You can also chill it and serve cold.
